Thousands of people marched in the French capital Paris, as well as in the cities of Marseille, Lille and Bordaux, as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women yesterday, calling on the government to allocate more budget to stop violence against women.
During the march, the protesters slammed the French President Emmanuel Macron for not keeping his promise before the election and reiterated their call for the justice system to be changed and new laws to be enacted to deal with crimes and violence against women.
