Thousands of antivaccinist hit the streets of Czech Republic

On Sunday noon, thousands of antivaccinist gather in the Wenceslas Square in Prague, capital city of Czech Republic to protest government’s new decree about mandatory vaccination. While being assumed that 5,000 people attend the protest, which organized by Otevreme Cesko and Chcipl PES movements, firefighters, paramedics and medical school students, who were included in the scope of mandatory vaccination with the new decree to be issued, also supported the protest. Protesters carried Beside Czech Republic flags and banners that “0% politicians = 100% peace”, “save children from state administration”, “put end to disgusting and unfair discrimination of healthy people with natural immunity” and ” don’t kill us” written on them. Also they frequently shouted slogans like, “freedom”, “we are done”, ” Adalbert in jail” and “government should  be embarrassed”.

“As citizens of Czech Republic, we demand Czech government to adhere to Czech constitution and don’t violate the constitution even for pseudo-high prosperity. Every citizens have the right to decide being jabbed or not with Covid-19 vaccines. We are not against the voluntary vaccination, we are only against the mandatory vaccination, which government is trying to implement here with support of the Czech Republic Parliament,” being said in the statement released by Otevreme Cesko movement.

After Government Office, protesters marched to Czech Republic Presidential Palace. Later on, protesters dispersed without incident after speeches in front of the Presidential Palace. Meanwhile, police took a person into custody, who was trying to damage a parked car in the protest.
