thousands protest against surging inflation and low pension in France

Thousands of retirees took to the streets in Paris, the capital of France. Retirees, whose purchasing power has decreased due to the compulsory cuts implemented by the government of French President Emmanuel Macron and increased inflation, complained about the cost of living and demanded an urgent increase in their salaries. Union representatives and retirees participating in the march reminded Macron of the lowest pension of 1,100 euros, which was an election promise, with the banners in their hands.

Stating that they could not make their voices heard against the government and President Macron in the previous protests, retirees demanded a reorganization of their pension wages and an increase in social assistance in the same way.
