Thousands Protest Netanyahu in New York

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was protested by thousands of people around the hotel he was staying in yesterday in Manhattan, New York, where he came to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly. The protesters, who started marching from the Grand Central train station, moved towards Netanyahu’s hotel with banners that called for a ceasefire and the release of Palestinian hostages.

New York police, who increased security in the area, closed many streets in Manhattan to traffic and prevented the protesters from approaching the hotel. Many protesters who did not comply with the police’s instructions were detained.
