thousands protest violence against women in paris

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Place de la République in Paris, the capital of France, to protest violence against women and femicide.

On their way to Place de la Nation, the crowd carried banners condemning sexual discrimination and femicide and shouted slogans such as “We took to the streets to shout our anger”, “We witness that those who commit violence against women are not punished enough”, “Perpetrators of violence should be punished with the punishment they deserve”.

Condemning the lack of justice in the fight against gender-based and sexual violence, the demonstrators demanded a “framework law” from the government for the aggressors.

It was recorded that 18,500 people attended the demonstration held in Paris.
