Thousands quarantined after a Covid-19 case reported at China Disneyland

More than 30,000 people were quarantined yesterday after a Covid-19 case reported at Disneyland in Shanghai, China. The quarantined visitors were tested during a fireworks at the park. Authorities closed Disneyland to the newcomers, and shut down the metro line that connects the park to the city. More than 200 buses were sent to the theme park to transport visitors and employees home for mandatory quarantine.

Disneyland will remain closed until at least Tuesday. “We will notify guests as soon as we have a confirmed date to resume work,” Disney said in a statement.
