Thousands of people gathered in a stadium on Sunday to voice their support for the military coup ahead of the Economic Community of West African States’s deadline for freeing and reinstating democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum. The supporters held placards that said “Stop Areva/Orano, Get Out” during the rally.
