Around 20,000 people gathered at Erciyes Ski Resort in Kayseri, Türkiye, to witness the Perseid meteor shower from 2,650 meters above sea level. Organized by Erciyes Inc., the Kayseri Science Center, and TÜBİTAK, the event offered visitors a clear, light-free view of the annual “shooting stars.”
Erciyes A.Ş. General Manager Zafer Akşehirlioğlu highlighted the resort’s year-round appeal, saying the observation festival has become a tradition and praised the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality for promoting both summer and winter activities. Attendees enjoyed the spectacle, with many spotting multiple meteors and learning about satellites and other celestial objects.
