Three Die After Hurricane John Hits Mexico

Floods and landslides caused by Hurricane John, which reached southern Mexico on Monday evening, resulted in deaths. Two people died in the town of Tlacoachistlahuaca in Guerrero State, and one person died in a landslide in Malinaltepec.

The hurricane also knocked down trees, blew off roofs, and downed power poles, and around 100,000 homes were left without power. Civil defense teams and the National Guard began clearing mud-covered roads in the states of Guerrero and Oaxaca and most of the houses were provided with electricity again.
