Three police officers injured at a protest against police violence in Greece

An estimated 5,000 people attended the protest against police violence in Nea Smyrni district, southwest Athens. Protesters threw stones, molotov cocktails. Police used water cannons, teargas and flashbang to disperse the crowd. According to police, three police officers were injured at a protest, one of the officers was seriously wounded.

Demonstrations in Greece have begun last week, after a video that showed a police officer beating a man with a baton went viral.
