Three Went Missing after Landslide in Japan

Rain triggered a severe landslide in Matsuyama city in Japan’s Ehime prefecture. Numerous structures in the disaster area near a 50-meter-wide and 100-meter-high slope were buried in soil, and 3 people disappeared.

Authorities issued an evacuation warning to 22,062 people in the city of Matsuyama due to the continuing risk of heavy rainfall and urged residents living in risky areas to be prepared for floods and landslides.
