A hotel in the Forest Safari Park located at Nantong city in Jiangsu province of China offers its customers the opportunity to watch different wild animals from their hotel rooms. In the videos shared on social media, a tiger seen walking in one of the rooms of the hotel. In the videos, it was also noticed that there is only a glass between the area where the tiger is located and the bed area where the customers stay.
Meanwhile, on a Chinese social media platform called Weibo, which also known as China’s Twitter, the title “room with a tiger view” has been viewed more than 100 million times. On social media, the issue sparked heated debates on both in terms of animal rights and safety concerns.
After the issue was brought to the agenda, it was alleged that authorities from Nantong Municipality gave the order to terminate the activity in order to ensure the customers’ safety and prevent cruelty to the animals. However, different sources said the issue has been discussed and the ban decision hasn’t been made yet.
