In Şanlıurfa, which is experiencing the golden age of tourism, local and foreign visitors from all over Turkey and the world visit important historical and touristic places such as Göbeklitepe, Balıklıgöl and Halfeti.
Şanlıurfa Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Aydın Aslan said that the occupancy rate in hotels will reach 100 percent starting with the Ramadan Feast and until the end of May and June. Aslan said, “With the disappearance of the corona virus measures, there was a great tourism activity in Şanlıurfa during the month of Ramadan. Afterwards, we will experience a large tourist density that will start with the Ramadan Feast and continue throughout May. We’re talking about numbers that will reach nearly 100 percent in hotels. This will continue until the end of June. We see that Göbeklitepe and Balıklıgöl come to the fore especially in terms of increasing tourism activity in the region,” he said.
