Trabzon Tourism Surges 81% with Gulf Visitors

Tourism in Trabzon, located in Türkiye’s Eastern Black Sea Region, surged by 81% this July, largely credited to visitors from the Gulf countries. This year’s accommodations hit 268,500, with a notable increase in foreign tourists. Ortahisar Mayor, Ahmet Metin Genç, stressed Trabzon’s reputation as a trustworthy destination, contributing to its attraction. The city garnered a substantial tourism revenue of 1 billion 76 million dollars last year. Genç also highlighted popular spots like Boztepe’s viewing terrace and urged sustained efforts to maintain this growth trajectory in Türkiye’s tourism sector.
