In Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine, a train carrying grains experienced a derailment near the city of Simferopol. The incident caused eight wagons to overturn, resulting in the scattering of grain across the area. Following the derailment, emergency response teams from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. No casualties or injuries were reported. A crane was brought in to lift the derailed wagons, while the railway line connecting Simferopol and Sevastopol was temporarily closed for traffic.
