Transport workers in Germany went on strike

Transportation sector workers in Germany began striking at midnight on the call of the workers’ union Verdi and the railway workers’ union EVG. Airport, port, train, bus, and metro workers will go on strike around the clock. While the German Airports Association reported that the strike affected around 380,000 passengers, public transportation in the country came to a halt.
