truck drivers flock BP stations in UK

In England, the oil and gas company British Petroleum (BP) has decided to temporarily close some gas stations in the country on the grounds that there are few drivers. Trucks have flocked to the gas stations in case of gasoline shortage. There is a decrease in the number of truck drivers in the UK due the Covid-19 pandemic, the retirement of drivers, and the UK leaving the European Union. Andrew Opie, Director of Food and Sustainability at the British Retail Consortium, said that truck drivers are the most important element in the supply chain, and that if new drivers are not found within 10 days, there will be serious problems in the supply chain before Christmas.
