Newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump has named Susie Wiles, his campaign co-chair, as his White House Chief of Staff, making her the first woman to hold this influential role in American history. Trump praised Wiles, calling her “tough, intelligent, innovative,” and credited her for his campaign’s success, stating, “Susie achieved one of the greatest political victories in American history.”
Wiles, a veteran of U.S. politics, first joined Ronald Reagan’s campaign in 1980 and has held key roles, including helping Rick Scott win Florida’s governorship in 2010. Her work with Trump began in 2015, where she played a pivotal role in his Florida victories in 2016 and 2020. As Chief of Staff, Wiles will manage White House operations and provide key political guidance.
