Former US President Donald Trump objected to the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to ban him from the primary election to be held in the state next year for taking part in the raid on Congress in 2021. In the file submitted to the court, Trump’s lawyers stated that the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision was erroneous and misinterpreted the relevant constitutional articles.
The raid was carried out by far-right groups and Trump supporters during the session where the victory of Joe Biden, who won the presidential election in November 2020, was to be certified. Five people lost their lives and hundreds of others were injured during the incident that lasted for hours.
