Turkey expands vaccination centers as COVID-19 cases soar

The number of cases in Turkey has increased in recent days in the fight against Covid-19. The Ministry of Health announced that a booster shot has been defined for those over 50 years old and in the risk group, as well as people who have not vaccinated in the last 6 months. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated that the number of cases has increased 40 times in recent days, and that following the warnings, many citizens gathered at vaccine centers in hospitals.

“I am 87 years old and I am getting vaccinated,” said Beyhan Sabahat Tomakan, who arrived in a wheelchair to be vaccinated. “I want everyone to be healthy and happy,” she said.
