Turkish and Czech Community Unites for Earthquake Relief in Kahramanmaraş

The Turkish community in Czechia showed great support for the aid campaign organized by the Turkish Embassy in Prague, following the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş. Donations, consisting of winter coats, boots, tents, blankets, cleaning materials, diapers, and baby food, were collected at the embassy and two Turkish-Czech organizations. The first shipment of aid, weighing over 3 tons, will be sent by air. Czech citizens also donated to Red Cross, Clovek v tisni, Charita CR, and ADRA, raising over 1.5 million euros. Large Czech companies, including PPF Group and Skoda, also made donations.

Tuna Poyra, owner of a Turkish restaurant in Prague, said that properly delivering aid is the only way to help from afar. Turkish citizen Zeynep Çizmeci Kırkağaç, who mobilized support in Prague, expressed that their hearts are with the earthquake victims.
