Turkish Armed Forces successfully conducts Efes-2022, largest planned military exercise

Turkey’s largest planned military exercises Efes-2022 were carried out successfully. The exercises started with land bombardment from the sea. The daytime phase of the exercise, in which more than a thousand foreign personnel from 37 countries and 10,000 personnel together with Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) elements participated, started with the land bombardment of Heybeliada and Büyükada corvettes as per the scenario. Artillery and Mortar Fires were made within the framework of the fires supporting the amphibious operation.

Enemy armored vehicles, which were detected by the simultaneous coordinated action of reconnaissance, surveillance, fire support elements and attack helicopters within the framework of the fires supporting the amphibious assault operation, were destroyed by anti-tank shots. Combat search and rescue operations, air defense, direct mission operations to time-sensitive high-value targets were carried out with air support, while critical targets were neutralized by the expert gunner element.

The exercise ended with the completion of the daytime activities. In the exercise, successful shootings with weapons and vehicles produced with domestic and national resources were applauded by the crowd, including Turkish President Erdogan and the leader of Nationalist movement party Devlet Bahçeli.
