Faruk Fatih Özer, who defrauded thousands of people in Turkey through the crypto exchange platform Thodex, was recently apprehended in Albania. Özer was brought to the Elbasan prison along with two other people who helped and abetted the crime in the Himara neighborhood of Vlora, in the south of the country, as part of the “Brain” operation run by the Elbasan Prosecutor’s Office.
Özer was brought to the courtroom accompanied by the police, and the court accepted the request of the Elbasan Prosecutor’s security measure ‘Arrest with Prison’. The court ruled that Özer, who is wanted on charges of founding a criminal organization and fraudulent fraud, should be put on trial.
