The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that 48 terrorists were neutralized in operations over the past week, including actions in northern Iraq and Syria. Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk confirmed ongoing cross-border and domestic operations targeting PKK, ISIS, and FETÖ groups, noting that since January, a total of 2,505 terrorists have been neutralized. In northern Iraq’s Pençe-Kilit region, the Turkish Armed Forces seized weapons and ammunition from terrorist hideouts.
Regarding reports of potential U.S. base agreements with the Greek Cypriot Administration, ministry officials stated Türkiye remains committed to protecting Turkish Cypriot security and interests, emphasizing ongoing vigilance over developments on Cyprus.
