Turkish Family Breeds Future Champion Arabian Horses

Sami Taşkın, based in Sorgun district, Yozgat, has been raising promising Arabian racehorses with his sons for the past three years. Together, they have expanded their stud farm to accommodate 15 horses, focusing on maintaining the breed’s purity and quality. The family meticulously cares for the foals, feeding them a diet of clover, barley, and oats. With six mares, four stallions, and five foals, they adhere strictly to breed standards. Their foals, aged 2.5 years, are then sent to various provinces for racing preparation. After six months of training, these Arabian horses are set to compete in races across Turkey, aiming for future championship titles.
