Turkish Fishermen Rescue Roe Deer from Drowning in Black Sea

Several fishermen rescued a roe deer that fell into the sea and was swept away by the current in the Hopa district of Artvin province in Türkiye. The tired animal was released back into its natural habitat.

“We were sitting on the beach when we suddenly saw a roe deer swimming in the sea. We immediately sailed the boat and went near it. It was swimming very fast but it was tired. We took it into the boat and brought it to shore. It was quite scared, we petted it a little to calm it down. Then we released it into its natural habitat. It was an interesting moment; we were expecting bonito and horse mackerel in the sea but caught a roe deer this time,” said one of the fishermen.
