Turkish Fishing Boat Attacked by Syrian Regime Forces: Two Injured

Two people, including the captain, were injured after Syrian regime security forces opened fire on the fishing boat leaving Adana’s Karataş district. The boat, named “Mahmut Can,” was attacked in international waters. Captain Mahmur Erol (38) and crew member Besat Genç (31) sustained injuries. The boat reached Samandağ district in Hatay, where the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Tanju Bilgiç, condemned the Syrian regime security forces for firing at the Turkish fishing. The Ministry expressed its commitment to monitoring the investigation.
