Fatih Eryılmaz, an imam who had been working at the Eyüp Sultan Mosque affiliated with the Turkish Islamic Union of Religious Affairs (DİTİB) in Duisburg, Germany, for about 2 months and who disappeared on November 6, was found dead in the Rhine River in the Netherlands.
An official statement is expected to be made after the forensic examinations are conducted regarding the cause of Eryılmaz’s death, for which an investigation has been launched.
