Turkish Leaders Honor 101st Republic Day at Anıtkabir

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and top Turkish officials commemorated the 101st anniversary of the Republic’s founding with a ceremony at Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Leading the delegation along the Lion Road, President Erdoğan was joined by parliamentary leaders, cabinet members, and military commanders. After laying a wreath at Atatürk’s tomb, they observed a moment of silence and sang the national anthem.

In the Anıtkabir Special Book, Erdoğan expressed pride in the Republic’s legacy, honoring Atatürk and the martyrs. He affirmed Turkey’s commitment to unity and resilience amid regional challenges. Following the ceremony, Anıtkabir was opened for public visits.
