Ahmet Ali Kork, a Turkish citizen living in Leverkusen, Germany, was flown to Istanbul for treatment by a Ministry of Health ambulance plane as he suffers from leukemia. Ahmet’s wife Özlem Kork applied to the Consulate General of Turkey in Cologne to have her husband’s treatment continue in Turkey. “There has been no positive development in the treatment of my neighbor Ahmet Ali Kork, who has been treated for leukemia at Leverkusen Hospital for about 4 months,” said family relative and neighbor Ali Yurdakul, who followed the process. “Officials at the hospital said they would turn off the life support. His condition has always been stable,” he added.
Ahmet’s family believes he will recover in Turkey soon.
