Turkish Minister Gives Brief Information on UN Meeting with US

Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, who went to New York for the 79th United Nations General Assembly meetings, gave information about US-Türkiye contacts in an interview with the Ihlas News Agency team.

According to Minister Bolat, there have been two conferences so far where giant American companies that have had large investments in Türkiye for many years and executives from leading companies in Türkiye exchanged ideas and Turkish authorities gave detailed information on Türkiye’s economic picture, successful results and positive results, macroeconomic data, economic data, and investment incentives related to potential investments to analysts, executives, and investment bank executives related to the finance sector.

“There are great opportunities and possibilities to develop the economic cooperation between Türkiye and the US in the fields of trade, investments, services, critical industries, and tourism. The relations between the two countries, which have improved and progressed positively in both the political and economic trade fields for the last year, will ensure an increase in mutual trade and investments in these fields,” said Minister Bolat, also noting that Türkiye aims to have a trade volume of $35B with the US.

Two forums, one being in the field of energy and the other being in industry and technology, will be held tomorrow, said the Turkish minister.
