Photographer Ömer Kilit, known for his wildlife and astrophotography, earned widespread acclaim for capturing a stunning image of a mountain goat under the full moon in Aladağlar National Park, Türkiye.
Kilit, who works at the Niğde Open Prison, shared that the photo was the culmination of years of effort. “I’ve dreamed of blending wildlife and astrophotography in a single frame,” he said, explaining his meticulous research into the behaviors and routes of wild goats. During the last full moon of the year, Kilit camped in Aladağlar, selecting an optimal location based on his observations. Using his brother’s binoculars to scan the horizon, he finally captured the moment he had long pursued.
The photo gained significant attention on social media, with Kilit expressing his joy at achieving his dream shot. He also highlighted Aladağlar National Park as an unparalleled site for wildlife photography and nature sports.
