Soldiers and young students in the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak, Türkiye, commemorated the martyrs who died during the Dardanelles campaign under the snow on Victory and Martyrs’ Remembrance Day. Following the holding of a minute of silence, the National Anthem was sung, and speeches were made regarding the meaning and importance of the day.
“Carrying our flag makes me happy. I’m cold, but I’m honored to be here,” said Ruken Cin, a student.
