Hgih school students in Trabzon, Türkiye, are engaged in a touching initiative ahead of Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Memorial Day on March 18. They are restoring and repainting the tombstones at the martyrs’ cemetery in the city. This project, part of a social responsibility program, involves students working under the guidance of Visual Arts Teachers Kadriye Kara and Rahman Yıldız. Their efforts include fixing deformed parts of the tombstones and repainting the inscriptions. Students like Şevval Şahin and Ecrin Naz Özer expressed their emotional connection to the project, emphasizing the honor and pride they feel in honoring the martyrs who sacrificed for their homeland.
