The 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX 2026) has officially opened in Baku, showcasing advanced military technologies from 280 companies across 30 countries. The event marked a major milestone for Türkiye, as its participating defense firms signed strategic agreements with Azerbaijan exceeding $500 million. Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün announced sweeping contracts for advanced systems, including TUSAŞ’s Hürkuş-2 aircraft, ASELSAN’s Alp-100 radar, and ROKETSAN’s Barbaros coastal defense system. Confirming the imminent sale of 14 Hürkuş-2 aircraft, Görgün stated, “We will make the first deliveries to Azerbaijan very quickly this year, just as we will to our Air Force.” These high-profile agreements are designed to rapidly modernize and strengthen the military capabilities of both allied nations.
