Türkiye and Egypt signed seven bilateral agreements during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s official visit to Cairo, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The deals were concluded after the second meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council at Al-Ittihadiye Palace and cover areas including military cooperation, trade, agriculture, veterinary services, social protection, youth and sports, and health.
One agreement focuses on cooperation in pharmaceuticals and medical device regulation, signed by Türkiye’s Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu and Egypt’s Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. The health deal aims to strengthen regulatory cooperation, information sharing, and coordination on international standards, including laboratory, clinical, and manufacturing practices.
