Türkiye’s National Football Team recently secured their 6th appearance in the European Football Championship, which will be held in Germany in 2024. They achieved this milestone by defeating Latvia 4-0 in the 2024 European Championship Qualifiers, increasing their total points to 16 and maintaining their position as group leaders. This victory ensured their qualification for the upcoming tournament.
The Turkish team embarked on their European Championship journey in 1996 and have continued to participate in subsequent editions in 2000, 2008, 2016, and 2020. Their most notable achievement was reaching the semi-finals in 2008, during the championship co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland. In this tournament, they advanced to the semi-finals but were defeated 3-2 by Germany, marking their best performance in the competition.
