At the 2025 European Weightlifting Championships in Moldova, Türkiye’s Harun Algül won gold in the men’s 55 kg snatch event with a lift of 112 kg. Competing in Chisinau, Algül placed seventh in the clean and jerk and finished fifth overall. Fellow Turkish athlete Muammer Şahin ranked lower in all categories.
