The Ballıkayalar Climbing Festival, Türkiye’s renowned rock climbing event, captivated audiences with its exhilarating displays. The festival, organized for the second time by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality at Gebze Ballıkayalar Nature Park, overflowed with excitement and adrenaline. Joining local climbers, a total of 36 athletes, including 12 women, journeyed from various cities like Samsun, Ankara, Istanbul, Bursa, Izmir, Çorum, Trabzon, Ordu, Sakarya, Balıkesir, Mardin, and Mersin to participate in the festival. Esteemed officials, including the Head of Metropolitan Youth and Sports Services Department, the Kocaeli Provincial Director of Youth and Sports, and the Türkiye Mountaineering Federation Kocaeli Provincial Representative, also graced the event. Following breathtaking competitions, the protocol members, accompanied by families and spectators, presented medals to the outstanding athletes.
