Türkiye-Iran Border Crossing Stays Calm in Eid Amid War

The Esendere Border Crossing in Yüksekova, Hakkari, Türkiye, remained unusually quiet during Eid al-Fitr amid rising tensions between the USA, Israel and Iran. Security measures were raised to the highest level, and restrictions were imposed on day-trip passenger crossings.

Commercial traffic continues under controlled conditions, while citizens are only allowed to return to their countries. The normally busy crossing saw little movement, with black mourning flags on the Iranian side adding to the subdued atmosphere.
