The 9th Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan Turkish Film Days began in Bishkek with the premiere of Murat Fıratoğlu’s “One of the Days Hemme Died.” The event, supported by both countries’ culture ministries, brought Turkish actors and directors to Kyrgyzstan for red carpet screenings.
Officials highlighted the role of cinema in strengthening cultural ties. Türkiye’s Cinema Director Birol Güven noted that Turkish series are watched in 150 countries and called for joint film productions with Kyrgyzstan. Screenings will run until September 8 and are open to the public free of charge.
