Türkiye sends 450 commandos to Kosovo upon request of NATO

Following the recent incidents in Kosovo, 450 commandos and 20 civilian personnel are being sent to Kosovo by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, upon the request of NATO. The first part of the unit settled in the barracks of the Presidency at the Kosovo Turkish Representation Delegation in Prizren, where Turkish soldiers are stationed in the southern region of Kosovo. The commando unit will go to Northern Mitrovica, in the northern part of Kosovo, where the Serb majority live, as soon as possible. The remaining personnel will arrive in Kosovo tomorrow.
