Türkiye Showcases Green Energy Vision in London

Speaking at an investment forum in London, COP31 Chair and Turkish Environment Minister Murat Kurum outlined his vision for a global shift toward clean energy. He highlighted Türkiye’s rapid growth in renewable capacity and its recent development of highly efficient, “zero-energy” housing as successful, real-world models for climate resilience. Kurum urged the international community and private investors to back a global target aiming for 35 percent electrification across key sectors by 2035. To further encourage foreign partnerships, the event featured the launch of a new BloombergNEF factbook detailing strategic opportunities in Türkiye’s decarbonization and green finance markets. Emphasizing that governments cannot tackle climate change alone, the Minister invited global business leaders to actively invest in a sustainable, green transformation.
