Turkish aerospace company Baykar successfully launched its subsidiary Fergani Space’s first satellite, “FGN-100-d1,” into orbit as part of SpaceX’s Transporter-12 mission. The satellite, along with 131 other payloads, was sent into space aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA.
Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar highlighted the company’s expansion into space studies, stating, “After achieving our 20-year goal, we began focusing on space projects.” He revealed plans to develop a global positioning system under the ongoing Fergani project, initiated two years ago.
