Türkiye’s Baykar Tests New Swarm Drones

Turkish defense company Baykar successfully demonstrated its new K2 kamikaze UAV and “Sivrisinek” loitering munitions at the Keşan test center in Türkiye. During the advanced flight tests, the drones showcased next-generation combat capabilities, including AI-powered swarm autonomy and the ability to navigate or attack without relying on satellite signals. Operating alongside larger Bayraktar aircraft, the mixed fleet seamlessly shared target data and executed coordinated strikes within simulated electronic warfare environments. These highly autonomous new weapons will make their first public appearance at the SAHA 2026 defense exhibition in Istanbul this May.
