Bayraktar TB3, Türkiye’s domestically developed armed unmanned aerial vehicle, has made aviation history by successfully completing take-off and landing tests on short-runway ships like the TCG Anadolu. This milestone marks the TB3 as the first UAV in the world capable of such operations.
Selçuk Bayraktar, Baykar’s Chairman of the Board, shared the historic achievement on social media, including his speech aboard the TCG Anadolu. He praised the team’s efforts, stating, “It was a great take-off and a wonderful landing. I thank our ship commander and crew. May Bayraktar TB3 bring good fortune to our country.” Bayraktar emphasized that further test flights would continue to build on this success.
