türkiye’s Cappadocia sees surge in the number of visitors

The Cappadocia region, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List of Türkiye, continues to host new visitors from abroad and across the country. It was reported that the region has attracted 3,053,827 domestic and foreign tourists since the beginning of the year. Apart from the fairy chimneys, which are the main attraction, visitors also explore underground and above-ground structures, unique valleys, museums, and ruins.

“We expect the demand to increase after the pandemic, especially in China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. We also anticipate more visits from locals after the academic term begins and the summer ends. As we always say, Cappadocia is exceptionally beautiful in the autumn months,” said Mehmet Dinler, a tourism professional.
