To mark UNESCO’s International Day Against Smuggling of Cultural Assets, Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism projected images of recovered cultural heritage onto the iconic Galata Tower in Istanbul. Using mapping technology, the display showcased artifacts smuggled abroad and later returned to Türkiye, aiming to raise awareness about cultural asset protection. The event emphasizes the importance of combating cultural smuggling and preserving heritage.
