Türkiye’s Erdoğan visits Iran

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is visiting Iran, where he will be discussing bilateral and regional issues with Iranian officials. Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony at the Saadabad Palace, where he met with his Iranian counterpart, Raisi.

Erdoğan will meet with Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei within the framework of his official visit to Tehran. Erdoğan, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iran’s Raisi will come together at the Türkiye-Iran-Russia High-Level Cooperation Meeting and the Seventh Trilateral Summit in Astana format. At the summit, leaders will discuss the current developments in Syria, the fight against terrorist organizations that pose a threat to regional security, especially PKK/YPG and DAESH, efforts for a political solution, the humanitarian situation and the voluntary return of Syrians to their countries. Erdoğan will also hold a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart, Putin.
