Türkiye’s KAAN Completes Successful Second Flight

The Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) announced that the Türkiye’s National Combat Aircraft KAAN achieved a 14-minute flight, reaching speeds of 230 knots at 10 thousand feet altitude during its second flight. Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) under the SSB’s National Combat Aircraft KAAN Project, the aircraft aims to meet the combat aircraft needs of the Air Forces Command.

SSB President Haluk Görgün praised the successful flight, emphasizing its significance in Turkish aviation and defense history. He expressed gratitude to the project team, test pilots, and engineers, highlighting the collective effort that led to the successful flight. The data gathered will inform preparations for future flights, marking a milestone in the development of Turkey’s aviation capabilities.
